I’m joining BlogHer and YeahWrite for National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) which runs from November 1 through 30th. The gist of it is bloggers post daily for 30 days straight. Um, right. As you may have noticed, my posting here is sporadic at best. I’m joining NaBloPoMo as a way to get back into the groove of daily writing (although, yes, some days you might get a photo and a caption and I’ma call that a post. I am not browbeating myself into a manic episode entitled “Gotta Post, Gotta Post, All The Bad Things Are Gonna Happen If’n I Don’t Post.”)
Maybe it’ll be easier than I imagine. If you looked at my drafts folder (or the Notes app on my phone), you’d see I have All The Ideas. Again: um, right.
Regardless of that futile attempt by my inner bitch (quit it, Shirley!) to thrust negativity to the forefront (on day one, Shirley, really?), I intend to complete this challenge. Here’s to all the bloggers joining in: I raise us all a glass of tequila- and vodka-less lemonade (because I’m simultaneously not drinking (<– Ooh, look, y’all! That’s a HUGE LONG CRY IT OUT FIGHT THE AIR post right there. This is gonna be good.))

Unless I find some BlogHer NaBloPoMo at yeah write guest editors (hint hint), all I will be doing at my personal blog is throwing up some old photos of my children. For 30 days.

The no drinking has actually been working. I don’t know right now how long it’ll last, but for now, it’s sticking. How’s the non-cheese life faring?
